Dorsal hypothalamic area

A relatively small region of the hypothalamus located inferior to the hypothalamic sulcus; contains the following nuclei: portions of the dorsomedial nucleus (nucleus dorsomedialis), endopeduncular nucleus) (nucleus endopeduncularis), and portions of the nucleus of the ansa lenticularis (nucleus ansae lenticularis).
